I have an extra new rear diff assembly but need to know much more before I ship it away to perhaps never be seen again. Several V owners on this forum have lost their upfront investment on a similar proposal.
Anyone with a broken diff to supply for evaluation by vendor?

A vendor from another community has showed some interesting in looking at our differential to see if there is anything that can be done to strengthen them. Once option was to make a completely new carrier out of a much stronger material.
The first step, though, was to get a broken one for eval. Does anyone have one they could supply?
I'm not saying this will go anywhere. He was simply going to investigate first to see how complicated it would be.
Anyone?

He was looking for a broken one specifically to see in what way they are breaking. If he can't get a used one, then he may just buy a new one, or use one that someone is willing to give up (for another kind of deal). I'm not sure what he would plan. Like I said, he just wanted to investigate it first to even see if it was going to be worth his time.
