Just wondering if anyone here uses their accessory wheels for the track. Any feedback? I'm just worried about their durability.

I have a set of stockers mounted on R888s that I use for track & autocross right now. I picked up a set of accessory wheels and I have a set of Hankook Z214s waiting to get mounted.

The plan is to mount the R888s on accessory wheels for the track, and Z214s on the stockers for autocross.

Thanks :)

I did three track days on my accessories last year. From the high speeds at Pocono, to tight assed Summit. Held up fine with Falken RT-615s.
But if you want durability, I daily drive them in NYC. Even with our grand canyon-like pot holes, they're just as round as the day I got them.

Hot brake dust eats the clear coat off of them and after that they will look like crap and you'll end up refinishing them...have two sets of them, one set looks like crap and the other set is two wheels of color coat away from being refinished.

How much track time is that? Mine seem fine after 3 track days.

I usually clean my wheels between runs while I'm at the track.... Would my clearcoat still get killed?

I might just use the accessory wheels for autocross and teh stockers for the track...
