I'm getting the shifter and knob and a shift boot from redline. I'm having them craft one for me that covers the metal portion of the shifter. Can someone give me several measurements as I do not have the stuff installed?

This is what I need:
"
- distance from front corners of shifter plate to right below the shift knob
- likewise distance from corners of shifter plate to below the knob
It needs to be measured across the longest travel distance. So if you have a typical setup of 1,3,5 on the front and 2,4,R on the back, it would be 2 for front-right corner, R for front-left, 5 for rear-left and 1 for rear-right corners, respectively.

We'll need the circumference of the shift knob (the silver part you want to cover) as well.
"

Thanks in advance.

The existing boot covers the metal part of the shifter, with the UUC Knob.
What are you talking about? The metal is covering the boot. The metal part was painted black. The boot in the V is basically rawhide, I want soft leather and I want it to come all the way up to the knob.
