So i am replacing the front struts on my 13 xts4 (255K miles) and i noticed that the "Yoke" (see #10 in attached pic) has 2 bushing on the bottom of it and they are pretty shot. I called Cadillac and and found out that they dont sell the bushings separate and I need to buy the whole yoke. $420 on top of the already expensive struts is a tough pill to swallow. Just figured id ask if anyone on here has these yokes before I buy them new. Thanks!

Are they simple bronze bushings? If so, you probably could take them to a local machine shop and have them press the old ones out and fit some new ones in. If you go that route, take the mating part along so they can machine the clearance appropriately, or if that is not practical, measure the diameter of the mating part to the nearest thousandth of an inch and inform the machine shop.

You can buy the bushings aftermarket but tey are a pain to replace due to construction. The bushing facing the front of the car is not solid, kinda see through if you look carefully at it to absorb vibrations better. For those miles it would require replacement, yes. I did the bushing swap and was a time consuming job which no shop would tackle but to save the price of 2 yokes it is well worth it.

So what was the name of the place or company where you got the bushings?
