It will do exactly nothing. UNLESS your present ignition system is so worn/shot/messed up/poorly maintained that a replacement system would appear to be night and day - to your wallet detriment and the more positive bottom line of the aftermarketer.
Of course, the stickers and colors are worth a LOT of butt dyno horsepower.
For a slight "tune-up" and reliability increase, look into a Pertronix distributor and coil upgrade. Don't expect miracles. (or even close to miracles)
