:hmm: What's the goat shift knob? If you're talking about the monaro shift knob... nope - haven't seen it yet or received it from the ausies. I plan on calling them again to follow up. Things apparently move slower south of the equator. :helpless:

No, I think he means that new GMPD shifter knob that's actually made from polished goat horn.

BOO....

There you go. :p
Actually, I haven't heard either from the Ausie vendor; still am awaiting shipment. I'll call there tonite as it appears things move much slower south of the equator - has to do with the ocean currents or something like that. :yup:

I bailed on this deal after the vendor was referred to as "flakey", "hard to get in touch with", "wanting wire transfers vs. credit cards", etc. :thehand:

I don't know who referred to this vendor as "flakey," I never did. :want: He's hard to get him to respond email-wise; but if you call, he'll answer the phone right way. Also, overseas vendors usually want to get their money in most secure fashion if never done prior business with an unknown overseas customer (like us), that's normal - I've done the same. Anyway, I apologize if I scared anyone away from doing business with this vendor 'cause of my email. :ill:

I did talk to the Ausie vendor last nite and he stated he's shipped earlier this week 5 Monaro shift knobs so far to various forum members; mine was returned to him apparently due to a faulty address?!? :hmm: He's gonna reship the shift knob to me again. So some of you ought to receive the shift knob soon. When you do, could you let me know since you'll be getting yours before I will? :p

Good afternoon to you all.

I would like to take this opportunity to say a warm hello and introduce myself to everyone here at the Cadillac CTS-V Series Forum.

I am one of the part owners of the business that some of you have referred to as

"flakey", "hard to get in touch with", "wanting wire transfers vs. credit cards", etc.”

I would like to take the time to answer anyone’s questions regarding any areas of concern that people may have, as these sorts of comment are untrue and unfounded.

All emails that have been sent to us regarding a gear knob have been replied to and I have personally spoken to at least 3-4 people off this site regarding this item. So far we have only had one area of concern which was with Stephan which was sorted and hopefully rectified

I would like to mention that we are on the other side of the world and this in its self makes some transactions harder. The reason we mentioned and initially requested ETF was because of concern of Credit Card fraud after speaking to Stephan and being reassured all transaction so far have all been c/card without any issues.

If anyone has further questions please feel free to ring me on 61 03 9466 1011 just keep in mind we are approx 8-9 hours behind and that if I don’t answer the phone it maybe that we are asleep and its 1am in the morning as happened last nite. (Which is all good Chris and your shifter was sent this afternoon) or email me personally at [email protected]

I hope this post has clarified a few things

Once again thanks for your time

I haven't ordered from Nick yet, but I did call .. and he answered and was very nice & informative, I sent him an email with my info & I got a reply with shipping info etc., I'm only waiting to make sure I want to do this particular knob, but my experience was pleasant & responsive, especially considering his location & time difference. Just my 2 cents.

Dave.

Sorry guys I don't have a V, but I do have the shift knob on one of my cars that you like. A good vendor to deal with is JHP. I have ordered some HSV parts for my goat and they seemed to have great prices and are real friendly to work with. Last I checked 1 USD = 1.36 in the land down under! Here is there link: http://www.jhp.com.au/monaro-gto/index.php

I'm glad you're not flakey as the original email stated. Thank you for taking the time to clarify that and to service us V enthusiasts. :welcome:
