Just curious, i have an 04 Deville Base. Has anyone ever painted their factory wheels black? I've googled with no luck, i'm interested to see how this would come out.

check out PLASTI-DIP -
it is a satin/flat finish plastic coating
that is removable if you don't like it -

the outcome will depend on how well you prep the wheels before spraying them -

I think the prep work should be perfect. I have seen a Caddy and a Lincoln with their nice aluminum wheels painted black and they looked ghetto to me. I'm sure a few people might like that look but most won't

I agree with Bass, PlastiDip might be the way to go. They also make a "glossifier" as a top coat if you want a shiny finish.

Old school Caddys were never meant to have black wheels in my humble opinion. With so much chrome on our cars, chrome or even brushed aluminum wheels and whitewalls are the only way to go. Just my opinion and it's your car so do whatever makes you happy my friend.

Saw a built 65 with matte black paint and matte black rims that was mean. It was on Craigslist a while ago. Mm-mm

there is something fundamentally wrong -
with calling black primer a "finished" paint job -

I bet vin diesel from fast and the furious would disagree.

its all a matter of opinion and everyone is entitled to their own.

Some people are into the matte black look. Personally I think if done right it can be mean af

I agree looks unfinished to me. Looks like you don't want to put any money into it same with clear coating rust and faded out paint.

=====================:yeah: - absolutely -

"oh - but it's the ORIGINAL FINISH" -

ya - well - maybe so -
but that old original finish is worn out -
and the car needs to be repainted to really look good -

Soldier on, CaddyLack728. I have the same car in black and was ga-ga over Drifz FX black wheels with the red trim (like Amazon #B007MGXTQ2) ... but then learned they don't come in the right bolt pattern spacing! ARGH!
