Anybody remove their roof rack/luggage rack?

The '07 Escalade won't fit in the garage - our old single panel wood doors have torsion bars that stick down too far for the vehicle to clear - they rub on the luggage rack. I don't see that I will EVER use the luggage rack, so I wonder if anyone has removed it, and if so, what it looks like and how you seal the holes up top.

Lowering kit? It sounds like a good excuse for the old lady.

Several members removed their racks on 03's and 04's, have not seen or read about removing an 07's, I will look in the service manual when I get home to see what is involved. :)
