I know this has been asked before, but I thouht I'd ask again, since I'm so impatient. Does anyone know if the new STS-V wheels will fit on the CTS-V?:hmm:

I Dont Really Have A V> I Lying> I Will Post Them When I Am Ready> You Seen Pics Of My Motor> Thats Enough For Now> Be Lucky> And How Do I Know> Trust Me I Know For A Fact And When The Car Comes Out And You Come On Here And Say> Yes They Fit> I Will Say> Told You So Lololololo Never Question Someone Superior To You Just Take It
I would be hesitant in stating that they will fit for sure. The offset on the CTS-V rims is 42MM and the offset on the STS rims is 51MM. This means that the tire will be 9mm closer to the inside of the tire well.

I own a CTS (Non V) and I purchased a set of STS 18's which were 51MM and they did not fit on my car. To get them to work the shop wanted to make custom spacers to fix the offset and then I would have had to get longer bolts and flair the front fenders. Since the tire well is the same size on the V and non V I would guess that you would run into the same problems because of the offset.

cant compare apples to oranges. like i said for a fact they will fit and like i also said when they come out and everyone goes yippy the sts-v rims fit i will just be sitting back shaking my head saying i told you so bahahahhahah

I think there might be some logic here... My sales guy said they are the same brakes and rotors ,that would suggest they just might fit. Knowing GM its cheaper that way. So I vote they will fit ....
Supposedly, with the same chassis, brakes and rotors, and "the differential we should have gotten from the start"...they may just fit. But it really doesn't do us any good until they're out. In time, we will know.

you gotme like i said i dont have a 500 hp v. il ying boo hoo
As far as I know, no one has yet to get their hands on a set of the STS-V wheels. We know the wheel pattern is the same but there could be clearance issues in the area shown in the pic. We can't be sure until someone tries a set.

1meanV, I don't know what your deal is but you are new to this board and are really coming off like an immature dick. You should pick your words a little more carefully. You are fast losing any credibility that we may have initially assumed that you had.

Urby,
Is that with the CCWs or with the stock rim and 275s? A 3mm spacer should allow the necessary clearance, no?

yeah, the CCWs wtih 275 rear rubber.
mine have a spacer.....but mine are an early SP600 run, and John has since made them differently to not need one. Makes you wonder how much rubbing the 295 guys have eh? lol
