I have seen nothing and no information on the internet yet, although I thought it was up a few weeks ago, but is no longer there.

My dealer called my last Thursday (9/19/24) and told me they had just gotten their allotment. The dealer said that 20" wheels that I had specified a couple of weeks earlier when we put together an order for status 2000 could not be ordered now. I said I did not want to wait and to enter the order with 19" wheels, which, in retrospect, I think will be better for the ride.

I had been in contact with another (smaller) dealer about 45 minutes from me. They promised me a call the moment they got an allocation. Since I've not heard from them, I'm assuming GM gives the allocation to dealers based on their volume history.

I would suggest checking your dealer(s). When I placed my order for status 2000, my dealer's inventory manager said they receive allocations on Thursday mornings and orders must be placed that day or they lose the allocation.

The dealer doesn't have final pricing, so I'm not sure of the MSRP. I ordered without this information, based on the 2024 and the pricing posted on GM Authority. The final shouldn't be too far off that. I do qualify for GM Supplier pricing.

All the 2025 CT5's have the 33" display. That and having the latest technology, along with an appreciation of the refreshes to the front end are the reasons I bought the 2025 V series and am willing to wait, rather than get a 2024 from dealer inventory at a probably good discount.

I ordered the car with deep space metallic exterior paint, 19" alloy wheels with satin graphic finish, the semi-aniline Sedona Sauvage interior, and just about all available options.

Now I need to find the patience to wait.

My 2025 V is at 4300 status. Gave my dealer my order in early August. Car was produced 09 September. No more info from the dealer, just a waiting game now.

Mine is RWD, with Typhoon metallic paint, satin graphite wheels, black leather, technology package, PDR, sunroof, and ventilated seats and I was told it was $66,710 when the dealer walked through my order with me. It lines up very close to the prices that GM Authority posted a couple months ago, dealer was $600 shorter than what I figured based on GM authority.

I started looking at Cadillac OEM grille replacement parts and the grille with the chrome strip shows up listed under the CT5 sport. I wonder why GM went the way they did. Both V packages are distinguished with the blackout trim up front or is it a supply chain shortage issue? I’ll have to wait and see when my order finally rolls in hopefully in the next week or two. That’ll be a fun conversation with my dealer lol.

I've started a deep dive into this because my build is a completely black CT5V. Right from the start, the difference between the Premium Luxury, Sport and the V was:

On the V the grill is all black, the chrome around the windows is black and the small strip above the license plate area is black. Now the Sport takes it half way and blacks out the upper grill and around the windows but leaves the lower grill and above the license plate chrome. The Premium Luxury is chrome throughout.

BUT, when you get to the options page when building a PL or Sport, the onyx package adds a black grill, (or you can buy it as a option only for 650 bucks). Both the Premium Luxury and Sport go to an all black top and bottom grill when this is selected.

Switch to building a CT5V and it shows a black grill top and bottom from the start. When you got to the onyx package and look, a grill was never part of it. There is no grill option, either in the onyx package or stand alone.

To me that means the V is supposed to have a black grill surround top and bottom. But it is getting the same as the Sport grill. I'd bet either a shortage and these are the early assembly line models and they are putting Sport versions on them to get them out the door, or inadvertent assembly line mix up (have you ever seen some of the vehicles people post where one side of a vehicle has one option, like color matched handles, and the other side is black or chrome, lol)

If you go to Hawk Cadillac in Joilet IL website, he has actual pictures of a red and white 2025 V with lower chrome grills.

When I get mine, I'm going to press for that lower trim on the grill to be black. I don't want to paint it, I don't want to wrap it.

All the press cars from when the 2025 was first shown, all the Vs have full black grilles. Then a month or so ago when the YouTubers were all at AMP, the V cars have the silver on the bottom. I’d be surprised if it was supply issue, considering the BW have full black. And you’d think if it was supposed to have full black, they would make sure cars that they are showing to YouTubers were correct.

View attachment 673086 Picked mine up today, but dropped off immediately for ppf & ceramic. It's factory filthy in this picture. Dealer is looking into cost to change chrome to black on grille. It really does need to be black, very not cool Cadillac. I'm also swapping out for black emblem kit. Sure was a fun 40 mile drive home!
PPF, you can find the perfect match probably with 10 or warranty.⁹

So here is something I am finding out... I am trying to buy non locally and have talked with 3+ dealerships

1) I am more informed than any dealer I've talked to. I ought to sell cars for a living, lol

2) the 20" black rims are on national backorder, so the cars with the 4000+ onyx package are on lots without the rims, with no date of them arriving. What I am finding is most cars are sitting on deposits from local buyers and not really available. The one that I did find the dealer asked "is that a deal breaker"...yes, the missing rims are a deal breaker, lol

You can certainly get an education when trying to buy a car these days. Just make sure you do your homework, as not all dealers are the same.

There are times where they will ship a car with transport wheels (they are red) and swap them out at the dealer when the correct wheels arrive.

Salesman called while I was out of town said car was in and lower grill trim was silver. By the time I got home 3 days later he had the lower grill wrapped in black PPF material and it looks great. The low profile stock rear spoiler that showed it should be black in build photos was not, it was white. Not a big deal as I already purchased a blackwing replica spoiler in black. Also black mirror caps are not installed at the factory, dealer has to do it but they failed to see them in the trunk so I took them home and did them myself when I did the rear spoiler, front splitter and black trunk emblem.

So the Cadillac builder has been updated to show a chrome lower grill. I guess there will be less to fight on orders going forward. And no option to option a black grill yet, not even in onyx package.

I did notice the lower grill is different in production than the online pics as well. This is my lower grill...I am trying to pick a no drill license plate holder option and noticed no solid black areas on the left or right.
