Yes, I have. My suspension when out around 60k miles. Being that you have an existing warranty I’d suggest having the suspension looked at prior to purchase and before the warranty expires. You’ll be fine. Definitely a car you’ll enjoy!

All 4 shocks were replaced at different times on my car while under warranty. Forward control arms replaced after 50k also under warranty. Look for grease splatters on the front fender liner near where the control arm connects to the frame. A symptom was the brakes felt like a warped rotor when braking.

Which forward control arm? Because there’s 2 of them. I’m curious because I may just do preventive maintenance and replace those.

There's a forward control arm and a rearward control arm in the front end. The bushing in the forward ones tends to wear out around 60,000 mi. or so and will feel like warped rotors when braking from highway speeds. Vibration will not be evident at lower speeds.

Just replaced all 4 front lower control arms and sway bar links. The original parts weren't totally destroyed at 60K miles, but I did get an improvement in high-speed hard braking vibration as well as a sharpening of ride and handling. Also no more squeaks over speed bumps. I'm going to replace all 4 brake rotors as well, the fronts are contributing to vibration under braking, although not severely.

What is wrong with these Cadillacs and vibration when braking? My ATS-V has had multiple issues with vibration. Replacing the pads and rotors was needed at 36k and the vibration reoccurred at 45k. I had the rotors turned and the vibration went away. We will see if the vibration returns.

Doesn't your ATS-V have the same fluid-filled front control arm bushings as the VSport? These appear to be a maintenance issue on the Alpha chassis. The combination of smooth ride and sharp handling is great, but there is a price to be paid. The parts are cheap, around $90 for OEM. But I wish they lasted longer.

despite the dealership saying the brakes on my 2016 CTS V-Sport were fine, the rear rotors were bad on mine and I had them replaced soon after purchasing (with 28K miles)...when I asked my mechanic he said it appeared the fronts had been replaced once already (not OEM)...

both of my rear OEM brake rotors looked like this...these past inspection by the GM dealership I bought from...
