If you shift with any force at all, those type of shift knobs are junk. Unless it notches on the stock shaft, it's not worth it. I would see if a shop can take your stock shift knob and reupholster it.

I had a MOMO knob on my SHO and it would twist off very quickly.

I have MOMO knobs on the V and Mr. Vette.

They use a pointed allen screw(3) to anchor to the stalk, and it helps if you file a flat in the stalk also where it meets.

They haven't twisted off on me, but then again I don't have a death grip on the shifter when I drive.:zing:

Well, if you modify the stalk, I can see that would help. But when it's just those 3 allen screws trying to anchor the stalk, even with the assorted rubber cups they give you to wedge the top of the knob tothe stalk, it'll twist with little force.
