Any info on Lockpick Gmx-322

I personally would wait, I find their unlock sequence screwy from the videos I have seen, and also hear lots of complaints about Coastaltech and their support.

It is my understanding PAC is coming out with a piece (just waiting in FCC approval) that will unlock video etc and is going to be a lot more user friendly. Not to mention they are a reputable company with good support.

I threw in the Gen 5 lock pick unit into my 08 EXT and it works like a charm ahd has been for the past year. I really like being able to turn on the rear view camera when towing the boat not to mention running the dvd when in motion!

I hooked my gmx-322 up very easy all plug n play. works like a charm. i hooked up the ipod lockpick to my iphone. i really like both lockpick units.

Another thing i will mention, carlos or juan,sorry i cant remember, was very helpful with all my questions and support with both units..

I thought you could utilize the gmx322's additional A/V inputs to view ipod/iPhone movie and listen to it's music with out having to purchase the "iPod lockpick"?
Doesn't the unit also allow you to use Bluetooth?

Yes, but if you go that route you dont have a GUI for the ipod music selections. I use my iphone, I play videos & music from the ipod function but I also stream satellite radio from other iphone apps. Just no video. So one would have to hook another cable up to the gmx-322 to watch video on the screens. Or if you dont care about the ipod interface just hook it up to the aux inputs in the truck or just get the gmx-322.

One thing out found out today about the system is the navigation download from Onstar to the Nav screen doesnt seem to work correctly. If I ask for turn by turn, it works fine but when I ask for destination download, which is new for 09, doesnt seem to download to the screen.

I called coastaltech about it and I'm waiting for a call back to see what solution they have.

At first I thought it was Onstar, but then after having them try the directions 3 times and no go, I figured it was probably one of the interfaces.

Atleast I still have turn by turn...Sometimes I think I like turn by turn better. othertimes its nice to have it on the nav screen.

Nice Work! Now I remember, why that site seemed familiar, I called them back in october/november and they were out of stock. O well. Let us know how everything goes when you get it. Good looking out on the cheaper price!

I just had the GMX 322 , raytell5000vi bluetooth and the ipod installed I love it. The raytell 5000vi shows caller ID on the Nav screen.

GUI, by that do you mean no in-dash interface right? I think i understand what youre saying. Personally i want to retain my controls from my iphone itself not only to use it as a video/music player though my screens but for the use of apps, hands-free, and so-on. doing so, i should be okay given i use the a/v cable correct?

i emailed them and they were pretty quick to respond promising me their loyal customer service and like you said theyre much cheaper. again, their promise isnt proof until i need to call them about a technical issue. unlike the shitty customer service ive heard about coatal, ill try to avoid that issue and give these guys a try.

is the raytell5000vi bluetooth compatable with the iphone and it doesnt utilize the vehicles steering wheel controls does it?

wow, just searched it and saw it goes for $360!?
i know this is a bit off topic and a dead horse but is there a cheaper alternative for bluetooth that will plug into the vehicles controls and monitor system?

Has GM installed a new Lockpick block?
A few users updated their GM Navigation DVD/firmware to the later versions 4.0c or 4.1c and found that their Lockpick devices no long work as it's suppose too. Anyone on here having problems? Anyone found a fix? The lockpick manufacture hasn't solved the problem yet.

I have used the GEN 5 and the GMX-322 both have worked no problems, i didn't buy from coastaletech, i found it on ebay from some guy that was selling it for around $220 dls shipped, i personally contacted him and he placed my order over the phone and i paid him with a credit card, the nice thing is he gave me the technical support, i have heard about coastaletech really bad technical support, but this guy being a dealer they know how this things work or contact technical support for you quicker and he ever had an answer for me when i had any questions, PM if you need any information on anything, plus i saved around $60.

I was about to pull the trigger and buy one of the GMX-322 from Costaltech but after seeing some complaints wondering if there is something better? I just want to be able to unlock the nav limitations like adding the poi and dialing a phone number, along with adding an ipod. But I pay for OnStar and want nav directions to be able to be downloaded too.

I have a 2009 Escalade EXT.

I just installed my GMX-322 and it works great , i also updated my firmware and no problems, i will receive my ipod lockpick tomorrow and my headrest.
i purchased the GMX-322 on ebay for $189.00.

Ive had the lockpick(s) since 07 - 3 versions of them. The Gen 5 works just fine on the EXT and can't imagine driving without it. GM doesn't like the lockpick ..and updates firmware from time to time via the NAV Disc ... and after updating last year (pre-Gen 5), GM killed the lockpick and then the Gen 5 came out. Yes.. their customer support sucks. BUT, if you follow the included directions, it's a rather easy process. Worst part is pulling off the plastic trim .....definitely the WORST!

So the GMX-322 should work ok on my 09 EXT?? - all the sites say up to 08.
