im new to the forum and i was wondering if anyone on here ever had a good,dependable 97 catera with minimal problems instead of all the things i hear on here?

I am one of them. I have 1997 Catera /Black/Fully loaded. My opinion - this is the great car. As for now: there is no any problem/defect. All the troubles I had before - Cadillac Dillership and their services (very low quality service - you have to be prepared before you go there, and other things). Their mecanics not perfect enough to work with this car. So I do almost everything by myself ( I use my Caddy all year round )incl. winter and I am happy and not going to say even a bad word about my four-wheel friend.
