Last year I started doing Auto X in my 03 Jetta GLI. What a blast. In a couple years I hope to get an e36 M3.

When my wife picked up her 07 CTS with what I believe has the performance pkg. (I have to verify that yet) and 18's I was pretty excited. The downfall is that she won't let me run it till it has 100K on it. Probably about 4 years away.

Anybody else running their CTS?

If you have 18-inch 12-spoke factory rims and no one put them on there besides the factory you have the same package as me.

"2007 Cadillac CTS w/ Sports Appearance Package - 18-Inch Sport aluminum polished finish wheels, performance braking system, limited slip differential, P225/50R-18 performance W-speed-rated tires, Performance-Handling suspension with rear load leveling and speed-sensitive variable-assist steering, StabiliTrak, Tire Pressure Monitor, sport rocker moldings, chromed exhaust tips, sport grille with chromed mesh accents, decklid spoiler and body-color custom rear fascia"

The 3.6L CTS does not get any better then that as far as stock goes.

I have had my car on the drag strip but not on the track yet.

Hopefully Jon sees this thread, he has done a good amount of auto x in his 3.6

Here is his website http://www.jon04ctsv.com/ (he has a V and a 3.6) I think he may have some auto x vids on there somewhere, if not they are floating around in this forum, here is his forum member page http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/member.php?u=8316

I have to verify some of those things, but yes, I believe that's what I have.

What color is yours? Ours is a beautiful Red w/ cashmere interior and now it Sirius instead of the poor reception quality of XM.

Mine is black on black, you can click the little picture icon up near my username to see my photo album (or click here http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/album.php?u=53565 ), shes in there!
I have the same CTS in a 2006 model...although in 2006 I think these options were 2 separate packages. One for the visual mods (spoiler, grill, etc...) and one for the performance mods (suspension, lsd, etc).

Mine is Blue Chip w/ black interior.

These cars handle well, and can be decent fun on an auto-x...tho they are on the heavy side. If youre gonna get an old BMW, skip the E36 and get the smaller lighter E30. Theyre alot of fun on the track, expecially a small track with tight turns like auto-x.

I've considered the e-30, and if it were to be a track only car I would/will do that. But more than likely it'll be a DD and the e-36 is more appealing to the eye with a bit more luxury.
Another reason not to get an e30, I just did a search on autotrader. I got 19 e30 m3's (year range 1981-1994) and 125 e36 m3's (year range 1995-1999) Prices are considerably higher for the e30. Nationwide search btw
Man, I thought this was a thread on trans-sexuals or cross dressers. What is this forum coming to?
CTS is a well-balanced car...
