Occassionally, we get lawsuit threats for various reasons.. I'm wondering if there's anyone around here who'd be willing to evaluate these threats...

Thanks in advance...

Sal, you might want to try talking to PJohnesq or NBTesq. those two are attorneys and usually in the CTS forum. send them a pm maybe? i think there is one who owns an XLR on this forum but i cant think of his screen name.

I'm not a lawyer but I'd be willing to look them over and give them to a friend who is an attorney (if there is anything worth worrying over).

Basic question: can CadillacOwners.com be sued if a user posts something about a business or product without their permission. It doesn't matter whether the comment is positive or negative.

I would think that it's kind of like a newspaper being sued for printing letters to the editor.

CadillacOwners.com can be sued but the site would win. Once a business puts itself out to the public, it is subject to critique by the public. Restaurant reviews, Car & Buyer, etcetera.
