Where is the deterrent module for the Pass Key system located on a 1998 Seville? Starts and then shuts itself off. Already checked the resistance of the key pellet and ok. Next step is to check the deterrent module; however, unable to locate. Please advise. Thanks.

My mistake. I am talking about the Pass Key system deterrent module. The car starts; however, shuts off immediately.
Your PK3 system is part of the the starter motor control circuit. Since your starter will spin the engine, you do not have a PASS KEY problem. Perhaps fuel pressure or fuel pump or who knows?

A clue or two might be stored in your Onboard Diagnostic system and displaying any stored trouble codes will help us help you. Here is how to display your trouble codes:

Pull your codes as mentioned on post #5.
The radio has nothing to do with the theft deterrent module.
If your car is a '98 Seville you cannot test the resistor as there is none, what you have is a chip (digital) embedded in the key handle (PassKeyIII).
There is a coil around the ignition cylinder that excite the chip and read the password. There is a module (reader) converting the coil analog signal to a digital signal. This signal is sent to the DIM and the DIM is the one deciding if the key is good or bad and communicating it to IPC to unlock/lock the injectors.
You can not tell anything unless you pull your codes.
