Since I'm new to this 4wd system.....Those of you who had experience: when the system is in 4WD auto, does it switch from 2WD to 4WD quickly enough to be effective on the snow covered roads....or should I be in 4H to begin with?? Thanks....

If I drive mine on snow covered roads like during a storm, I use 4H. I
f it's scattered with dry sections I use 4auto. In fact I just leave it in 4auto most of the time here in NH. It does kick in quickly. Like making a turn from a stop sign and it's kinda slick it kicks in without any hesitation.

In summer on dry interstates use 2WD.
in winter use 4WD Auto. cost is about 0.5 MPG
on snow or offroads use 4WD HI. cost about 1.0 MPG.
