another ipod question:

Hello ya'll i'm new here, just purchased a brandnew 06 at a great price and love it.

except from the missing Bluetooth and ipod interface the car is Perfect.

I have no-xm, and no nav, and the stock delphi unit. Now from my understanding to add an ipod interface, all i have to do is goto the dealership get them to enable the "xm" feature on my deck making it xm ready, and then get a ipod intergration kit for the caddy, and i should be flying?

is this correct?

thanks in advance.

someone please advice?

i'm thinking of buying the neucleus
thanks rblimas came across that too, i'm just gonna buy one 2morow and if it works great, and if not FAWK.

thanks again.
I have the nucleus and it works great. If you want bluetooth and nav, get something like the Garmin nuvi. I just picked up the nuvi 360 and it's awesome. Great solution for me because I lease. The bluetooth option gives you complete handsfree function. It displays my phonebook and operates with voice command. The unit has great volume and is easy to use. The other bonus is I can use it in both cars and take it with me when I travel.
The nuvi and nucleus should set you back about $600 total. Money well spent in my opinion.
If you don't have xm installed (the xm module in rear deck), there is no way to enable the xm until the car senses a signal. This will probably only mean that you need to install the neucleus first so that when they try to enable it there is a signal similar to xm coming in.
hey schambo, have you ever tried connecting your gps to your aux in on the neucleus? this way it would be an "intergrated" solution. Im thinking off that also.

and thanks billab914, i was planning on doing the reverse. You have saved me some time/money. thanks alott

Actually, thats not a bad idea. I will have to try it out. It would be great for the Bluetooth option. Thanks for the idea.
this is getting really retarted fellaz, i just went to the dealership and they said that factory canadian cts decks are NOT xm ready like their american counter parts.

Is there any validity to this?

thanks
If you have a Canadian CTS, try a european setup with AUX IN.
