Another fellow member in distress over low oil pressure at Idle!

Hello all, it's been a while since I've posted on here.

I see my last thread got over 6,000 views wow, neat!

Now, as far as my vehicle's issue and low oil pressure, i have reviewed various threads but not many have seemed to follow up on what helped their vehicle get fixed after the the oil sensor switch had been replaced and the problem continued.

Can someone please chime in on this? I would greatly appreciate it, i will also update this when i find my fix. Thanks.

I had the same problem. Low oil pressure and ticking lifters, definetly a sign.

With wesyders advise (like above) I too resolved the issue by replacing the oil pick up tube o-ring. I also replaced the oil pump and timing gear set.

Comparing the new timing gear set against the original with almost 200k on them, I really did not need to replace.

If you are DIYing if you have all wheel drive your looking at about 8 hours IIRC. Two wheel drive vehicles are much easier with shorter replacement time.
