I have a '98 eldorado with 70,000 miles. The car runs well, however, I 've heard a high pitch squeel during cold idle. I haven't investigated the problem yet, but I suspect that the tensioner, alternator, or belt may be the culprit. Any suggestion will be graetly appreciated.

The tensioner pulley is a good start. If that is not the culprit it may be another pulley. With the belt off, check all of the pulleys to see if they are free wheeling.

You can also use a stethascope to listen in specific spots, or, if you don't have one, I use a long screw driver but you must be very careful!
