I installed American Racing long tube headers; they are 1 7/8 stainless steel.
I ordered the high flow cats, but I received the off road pipes. I could not wait till I receive the cats, so I installed the headers, the sound is greet and defiantly feels faster

Thanks for the pixs, how was the install?
Was not that difficult, it took 5 hours from start to finish, including 30 min for lunch. I will give it 5/10 in the difficulty scale. Once you remover the finder liners it’s very easy, except the last header bolt driver side, it’s hard to get

Thats a really nice sound. How much does it coast for the parts?
The regular price is $1525, I did get a discount and the total was $1385. I did get them from Nick at American racing, he was very helpful, excellent communication, and excellent service. PM me if you want his contact information

Any exhaust leaks? What's the break in period?
That's kind of what I was wondering too. Do they recommend re-torquing the header bolts after a few heat cycles? Some header companies/applications require it, others it makes no difference whatsoever. Maybe has to do something with the head's material (aluminum versus cast iron)...?

Reviving the dead here....

Curious if anyone got their headers "Jethot" coated on here and if it reduced the enigne valve noise associated with headers? Has anyone compared the American racing headers with Kooks? Just curious as to why one would choose one brand over the other, and what the differences are between the two?
