Has anyone tried swapping an allante intake onto a non-allante 4.x? They look like they'd flow great, and I've heard that they're good for 20+ HP. The dealer I talked to (an the shop I work at gets GREAT discounts) quoted me about 2500 (that's not a typo, twetnty five hundred) bucks for one, but I figure I can get a junkyard one cheap like I did heads years ago.. If anyone knows about this that'd be great.
Peace,
D.

You have to be careful when using the Allante intake on a different Cadillac. The Allantes all have a mechanical ABS system before the 93's and it may interfere with the vacuum booster and master cylinder on other Caddys. Then there's also the fuel system to contend with, since it's a multi-port system. Looks like a real project to me.

Ugh, well i'm sure I could get around the vaccum problems... My problem is figuring out the fuel delivery problems.. Then again after being quoted 2500 for one I'm thinking of not doing it... Oh well...
