Hello All,

I own a 2002 cadillac Deville Dts. My airshocks are all the way down. My compressor comes on randomly and only for a few seconds before going off. But the shocks did not lift the rear end up. So from what I know the fuse is fine and I checked the lines for breaks but nothing. What confuses me is the compressor comes on but shuts of in the matter of seconds. It used to come on normaly for around 15-20 seconds. I am in mass and we have had alot of snow. Any ideas will be great on this issue.

Thank you

Even without the shocks working the rear should be at a somewhat normal height if the springs are still good.
Usually the compressor shouldn't run for 15-20 seconds unless there is a load in the rear. Id wonder if something damaged the level switch/sensor that the car thinks the back end is sitting at a normal level and doesn't have to be pumped up.

Hello,

Thank you for the resposes I checked the error codes and all I have is the following:

IRC 2462
IRC 2463
SDM U1000
and
DDM U1713

I was doing some more research and is the switch/sensor behind the rear seat? I checked the wiring under the car all seems fine and the hight adjustments on each side seems to be in good shape. The car does ride low and is driveable but want to get this issue fixed. What I am going to try is loading up the back a little more and see if the compressor comes on.

Regards
Glen

It is still coming on randomly. Is there a tube from the compressor that runs into the trunk? I had some water get into the trunk (did not notice it until I started taking everything apart)

Regards
