The temperature problem sounds like you are low on refrigerant.

The mode problem is most likely an actuator. Pull your DTC's. There should be a code for it.

like Ranger suggested -
start by pulling codes -

if you have any codes -
post the code number -
ALONG WITH THE CODE DEFINITION -
go here for code definitions -
http://www.cadillacfaq.com/faq/answers/dtccode.html#bod

----------------------------

all the actuators are "monitored" -
meaning if they fail to respond properly -
a fault code will be set -

MIX DOOR ACTUATORS control cabin temperature -
#1 is the DRIVER side -
#2 is PASSENGER SIDE -
#3 is BACK SEAT -

NOTE - 99.999999999% of Devilles
will report having the B0428 and/or B0429 codes -
the #2 actuator also controls the rear seat mix door -

MODE DOOR ACTUATOR -controls where the air blows from -

---------------------------------

I get cold air on passenger side and warm air on driver side.
CLASSIC symptom of a low freon charge -

with the AC set to 60* - medium speed fan -
locate the two metal evaporator lines going through the firewall -

feel the temperature of the two lines -
they should both be equally - very cold -
if you notice any difference between the two -
you are low on freon -

DO NOT JUST ADD FREON -
and don't be tempted with an el-cheapo refill can with the built-in gauge -
they are junk -

--------------------------

not sure witch actuator I need to replace
or do I need to replace the door as well
sounds like it's a very difficult job to do
any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated

lets DIAGNOSE the problem first -
THEN we can figure out a solution -

I stopped by autozone today they check for codes but I did not have any codes show up. I order some gauges online once I receive them I'll check my pressures what should my high side pressure be? according to the junky hose that came with the 134a can my low side is around 35-40psig

AutoZones scan tool will only pull P codes, your issue would trigger B codes. Your car has a scan tool built in. Go to the top of the FWD Deville/Fleetwood page and click on the sticky thread on how to pull DTCs.

Ballpark pressures are 30-35 on the low side.
2 - 2.5 times the ambient temperature on the high side.

Also check the A/C inlet and outlet pipes on the firewall. They should both be cold and the same temperature.
Hand check will work, but an IR thermometer would be even better.

B0248-mode door inoperative
B1009-eeprom check sum error?

The last two are probably just from pulling battery power.

The first one means just what it says. Probably a failed mode door actuator. Which is why you "can not switch mode from floor, defrost".

as I said in post #3 -
MODE door controls WHERE the air blows from -
floor - center vents - or defrost -

but it has nothing to do with your temperature problem -
