I'm a few weeks away from pulling the trigger and would love to see what rims you guys have. Anybody swap out the stock 18s yet? Also, Dr Design, you guys have any new pics of your project VSport?

What do you guys think about this. I've got a 14 VSport premium, white diamond on Kona.

HRE RS101 wheels is what I'm lokking at.

Do I go brushed clear finish with polished clear lip

Or

Body color matched white diamond tricoat finsh with polished clear lip?

Here is what option 1 looks like. Option two you'll just have to visualize.

White V-Sport on brushed centers with polished lip would look VERY clean and a timeless look. The body colored centers tend to date the vehicle a bit IMO.

Please post pics of the wheels on the car once you decide!

you know what, i'm not sure. I bought the car as is, not even 100% sure on the 10.5 rear wheel just took a measuring tape and kinda measured the wheel. I contacted the original owner yesterday and hopefully he's gonna be able to provide me with some more information regarding the car, wheels and why he traded it in for a Mercedes, well i think he bought a S500. I'm curious about that as well, as the car seems to sit nice on those wheels it looks almost just a bit lowered, but i'm definitely interested in going maybe .75-1" lower. I just want it to sit right above the tires.

Nice! I like those wheels, look good on your car.

How do you mean you went aggresive on the rear? The 10.5 wheel is awesome but your offset is not particularly aggresive, 35 is bout standard, 30 would be flush (i think) and 25 would be very aggresive. Even with a 10.5 your offset pushes the wheel back into the wheel well. Unless im wrong bout that. Still looks really good. Maybe snap some side profile pics so we can see how well it looks.

30 is flush for the rear with 20s, my tires was is about 1-2mm to rubbing the wheel well cover with no one sitting in the back, and 3-4mm when with 2 people sitting in the back

----------

Is you car stock height??
yeap stock height, once i got people in the back seat, theres no gap in the rear i'll get a pix when i get a chance

----------

Figured this thread would be the logical place to ask a wheel question. I have been looking all over to see if I can get the weight of the stock V-Sport wheels (without tire). I need to see if it makes sense going aftermarket, or are the stock wheels light enough? Thanks guys!
with an old scale and averaged the multiple 4 measurements total each wheel w/tire on,
i weighed the front with the tires on there and approx 53 lbs with stock tires on there, the rear 59 lbs with stock tires on there
my new wheels and tire by using the companies weight specs added them up and was 53 lbs in the front and 57 lbs in the rear.

----------

Thanks for the sizes. So 20x10 in the rear and you put a 295, that's sweet. Does the tire mushroom over the wheel? just asking cause i'm trying to figure out if my wheels are 20x10 or 20x10.5 without actually having to take the wheel off my car, lol. I have a 285/30 tire over my rear wheel and it's not flush with my wheel probably what you're experiencing with your front wheel, almost looks a bit stretched on there but only slightly and i emphasize the slightly. So pending your answer, I would assume you have a lower offset than i do pushing your wheel out giving it a nice flush look? Cause it looks as flush as mine if not flusher and you have a wider tire? So many questions, lol. Trial and error to get to that sweet spot.

lol i'm overwhelmed,
will let you know soon once i take new pix of different angles with people in the back and without
if you have one of those ramps to drive up on it and you can sneak under there to take a quick look, hopefully that eases the time to take it off and put back on.

What are the offsets on your wheels front and back? Looks great I think I'm going to get some 20's also.

30mm in the front
35mm in the back

i recommend for those that prefer a flush look without lowering the car to go with 295/30-20 in the rear
i will confirm the front if 255/35-20 will fit just right instead of rubbing the bracket behind the rotor cause the 245/30-20 i have on my 20s is now stretched a bit,
and the Mrs. drove the car today and scratched the new rim on the front. i was bummed out all day lol. :want::crybaby:

Thanks for the offsets. Sorry to hear about the rim. My wife is scared to drive mine cause she knows she will be in big trouble is she hurts my baby.

with a 30mm offset for the front and 255/35 tire is probably going to be the maximum.
the images i shot yesterday shows with if someone set up with a 255/35 will clear just fine,
but once the wheels turn fully each way, there might be a slight chance the tires may rub the wheel well covers slightly,
i think they will clear with a 1-2 mm clearance just like the rears.
hopefully the ones with that setup won't run over any orange cones any time soon, won't look good if it jams right in there LOL!
