I called Endurance for plans and prices. Monthly quoted is $165.95 with 30 day waiting period at start. Minimum deductible is $100 and new tire replacement is $250 p/tire. Person I talked to was VERY persistence that I buy RIGHT NOW!! I declined and asked to have details mailed to me. Person kept on and on to buy NOW! Told person I'll wait, wished him a nice day and said goodbye. SRX is in good shape with no major problems.
So what do you have?

I'm going on my 6th year with mine, but, I did have a lot of problems to fix when I first got it used, but fortunately, it was still under the factory warranty then. It has been very little trouble since then and I did not purchase an extended warranty when I had the chance and I don't regret it. However, yours being a 2010, troubles could be just up the road a bit and might not be a bad idea to get one. Just make sure that they cover most reasonable things like seals, gaskets, electronics in the interior radio, ac controls, IPC, seat motors and heaters. And also find out what they will do when parts are no longer available.

Yes, pretty much a scam. Also that's way more than others charge for likely similar coverage. What I did when we bought our 2012 was talk to the finance manager and the dealership. They reinstated the original Cadillac warranty. Think I paid around $3600 for 36 mos. Would have been cheaper but I opted for zero deductible which was an extra $350 or something. I think this program is optional and all Caddy dealers may not have it. It was nice peace of mind, but in the end I overpaid for repairs by around $1400, so no it was NOT a good investment. It sure was nice though knowing whenever I had a concern I could take it to the dealer and leave my checkbook at home.

When I bought my 2010 SRX new; I bought the dealer's extended warranty. That paid of the first year. The rear difrential was south, warranty paid in full $3200+, then the sky view roof leaked and flooded the front floor, then the information dash went out, the battery went dead within that year and a front spindle cracked. I ain't buying another one!

One other tip for those shopping for a warranty. Avoid those with long lists of what they cover. That doesn't matter. What you want to see instead is a short list of what they DON'T cover. With thousands of parts on a modern car these lists seem to include everything, but they don't. Expensive and troublesome components won't be on the list and you won't likely figure it out until your claim is denied.
