My caddy dealer tells me that they now have the xm part that will allow a factory (direct) install of xm radio on my 2005 SRX. (I was stupid and thought I could live without it!!) The only problem is that they say that they will have to install another antenna which I don't want. Is this true or have any of you super installers figured out a way around this issue?

you will need a new antenna. You could purchase a factory antenna but would need all the associated wiring which would make it cost prohibitive. If it is a big deal you could put the antenna on the dash with no problems. Not my first choice but for customers who are worried you can go that route.

Nothing is different. The gps antenna is seperate. If you did not get the xm option from the factory the antenna does not have xm built in. It is a different part number. I have not looked at the 06 schematics yet, and will try to today. All 06's have xm standard now except the base DTS.
