Adjust factory ride height of the rear of car

Is there a way to adjust the ride height of the rear of the car... any sensors to adjust or anything? My 2010 car sits much higher in the back than most other 2009-up CTS-V's.

Here are a couple of pics of my 2010 for comparison. I don't know if there's such a huge difference...

FWIW, some springs can have a tendency to "settle", or compress a bit over time. A friend of mine was the Canadian sales manager for SLP when they were converting 4th Gen Camaro Z28s into SSs and Firebirds into Firehawks at their facility in LaSalle, Quebec, close to the Boisbriand Plant in Ste. Therese, where those F-Bodies were built. An optional SLP Bilstein suspension pkg was available that involved the replacement of some suspension parts, among which, were special springs made by Eibach for SLP. These lowered the rear of the car by about 1/2" to 3/4" compared to SSs and Firehawks without this optional pkg.

As Sales Manager, he was given a new Camaro SS or Firebird Firehawk (with this pkg) to drive every year - and he insisted on keeping the original springs from his '96 SS and installing them on every new company car that he was given, because they had settled and actually made the car sit even a bit lower in the rear than a new model, where the springs hadn't yet settled.

So perhaps over time, the V's stock springs might possibly compress a bit, or maybe the magnetic ride control shocks would compensate? I'm wondering if there are any '09 owners who may have observed a slight lowering of their car since new...

Best regards,

Elie

...Cutting coils or putting in shorter springs probably changes how the computer interprets the wheel position and thus the shock dampening...
Hence the longer sensor rods D3 supplies with the kit. They re-home the sensors.

Time and time again, people put too much emphasis on this magnetic ride. Same tech that is in corvette adjustable suspension. You give the shocks an electric charge, and the metal filaments get rigid. it's really that simple. But too each their own.
I was the first to lower an 09 several years ago with Eibach's for a regular CTS and it drove good. Now on my 11 Coupe I have the D3 springs and it's even better.
You guys have fun off-roading in 4x4 mode :)

I would love to lower just the back also. I have an 09 and the rear sits (I think) 1" too high. I wouldn't mind the three D springs but I have AR headers and I'm alway driving over speed bumps and don't want any kind of issues.

I like them. In touring mode, the ride still feels soft to me, but in sport it feels nice and stiff. I don't know if I can quantify the stifness, but I don't believe it to be harsh at all. The car will need to be re-aligned but I have not done that yet because I have only had springs on for 1 week. I will do it in another week to straighten the camber back out and get the toe set correctly.

I have no ill effects from the springs. No jouncing, no squeaks. So far I think they are a quality product. Even if they were not "perfect", I'd still have them because the look is so much better. I believe they just released a track suspension for the car. D3 created a thread on it.

if I just ordered a set for the coupe will I get the second generation springs automatically?? I don't recall if I discussed which generation springs I would be getting, I hope that since the car is a 2011 coupe I will be getting the newer gen springs, If D3 is reading this please send me the newest gen springs as I plan on lowering the car as soon as it arrives, thanks.
