I didn't see any difference either way...Our of curiosity, what are you guys seeing as real world MPG differences between cold air induction and stock? Also does this mod violate the General's powertrain warranty?
There is some power to be gained by removing the restrictive stock air box:Probably no mileage difference, no matter what you do these cars are going to be horrible on gas. I think the power increase you are feeling from this mod alone is physcological because you are hearing the whine of the supercharger more. If I want to hear that I whine I'll hop on a jet and take a vacation. I can't see wasting the time and energy with this mod alone, same goes for a exhaust, does not do much for you other than produce noise.

No real MPG gain and according to my dealer, the warranty is not voided with this level of modification. They get a little uncooperative if the ECU has been unlocked and you blow an engine.
As long as you disconnect the battery per Airaid instructions.. The video does not show this step as it is condensed for time savings... The factory computer will relearn the A/F ratio and make the necessary adjustments.1997BlackETC said:Thanks for posting, good video, I'm surprised there was 26 hp to be gained with just the Airaid intake and the Corsa exhaust, surprised me that there was that much with no tune.
