That button will have a symbol with a car in it for Adaptive Cruise Control, or just a star if it is a distance set button. And when you push it the symbols on the DIC will be similar, a car (for following distance) for Adaptive Cruise, or a star (for notification difference) if no Adaptive Cruise.

Bought a used 2013 Performance and I know it has Driver Awareness but not sure if it has Adaptive Cruise Control. How can I tell?

You bet. I forgot the DIC will only show a car in front (when adjusting) if there is something within sensor range.
