Hey all,

Just thought I'd share this, not as a whine, but as an interesting finding. Took the first long distance trip in the CTS yesterday from Indy to Chitown, and back. The car handled great and loved the pick up . . . but one thing I noticed, other than seats that could use a little more support, is that the amount of noise through the windshield and side windows is noticeably higher than my Aura. I then looked at the label and it seems the caddy doesn't have the acoustic glass that my Aura XR has. I was floored! Just a comment, but for a car twice the cost, I thought for sure it would have the equivalent sound deadening materials. Any thoughts?

Let's not rant! Just discuss :) It's a triple laminate glass that is used in music studios etc to cut down on noise. I knew my Aura was quiet, but didn't realize how quiet until I took a road trip in the CTS. Not that the CTS is bad, it's just a noticeable difference, and the Aura is half the price.

I just did a little measuring glass on my vehicles, 04 Silverado,04 SS Monti Carlo,01 Corvette,94 ZR-1 Corvette all have 1/8" side glass and my 08 CTS has 3/16" glass. The thicker glass was a noise abatement program on the CTS along with plenty of insulation. My car is super quiet.
