Need a little clarification, is the delco switch differnt from the duralast? Everything I read suggest to use only the acdelco.

YES - there is a BIG difference -
the autozone house-brand stuff is JUNK!

the main reason we always suggest a genuine ACDelco OPS is -
at idle - the engine delivers very low oil pressure -
the ACDelco does NOT give false warnings -
the other brands DO -

Or Autozone "Don'tLast" parts.
Only buy dumb parts from Autozone, like bulbs, wiper blades, fluids, etc..

So after an hour of trying to get the actual switch off, seeing I could t get it, after reading here I seen it better to take the whole filter mount off, lmao took

Looks like a pre-2000 Northstar filter adapter. Please update your profile to show car model and year. It sure helps with advice.
