Folks:

I recently had my upper radiator hose fail just after starting my engine. Within moments, my ABS warning lamp came on. The diagnosis (code 61) suggests a short in the hydraulic modulator assembly (HMA) wiring, or a defective pump motor or pump motor relay (or worst case, a defective HMA).

SO: correct to think the problem happened when the HMA got doused with warm coolant? If so, then my dillema is, take it in for $ervice OR consider it might have been a momentary short and ignore it? I hate to ignore any braking issue, however -- even though the pump doesn't affect normal braking...

Thanks for any input!
