Hello, dear owners of Seville, I have a question for you!
Can you describe how soft a Cadillac's Seville suspension can be? I am planning to buy a 1993 Cadillac Seville SLS on 4.9 litre Nordstar and want to know as much information as possible about it. I was forced to come to this forum because there are very few such cars in my country... I live in Russia and am a fan of them, but there are very few such cool cars here :(

But! I had a chance to ride a 1991 Caprice, 1993 Crown Victoria, 1991 Thunderbird with my friends (owners of these cars). I love the "floating cloud" effect in the suspension, and I know the Americans have the technology to do this without a frame structure o_O
I really love post-restyling Seville's 4 gen. I would be very grateful for a detailed explanation :)

The 4.9 is not a Northstar. The Northstar is a 4.6 liter engine.

In '93, the Seville "4dr sedan" (not yet called an SLS) had the 4.9, and the STS had the 4.6 Northstar.

In later years, the SLS had a softer suspension than the STS, but firmer than the Deville's. Not sure about the 4th gen. Sevilles, but "how soft" is subjective. I think you need to drive it and see if it meets your criteria.

as Ranger already said -
there were TWO different engines offered in the 1993 Seville -
the base model Seville has the 4.9 - one of the BEST motors Cadillac ever made -
and the STS model Seville got the brand new 4.6 - Northstar motor -

I love the "floating cloud" effect in the suspension,
IF you are expecting a soft - floaty - ride - you are going to be VERY disappointed -

1991 Caprice, 1993 Crown Victoria, 1991 Thunderbird are all RWD - Rear Wheel Drive -
and they DO have a soft ride -

the 1993 Seville is FWD - Front Wheel Drive -
has a "European" - Mercedes sedan - type ride - VERY firm/stiff compared with the Deville -

Тhank you so much, I wanna see Devilles btw)
==================
keep in mind that the FWD - Front Wheel Drive - Deville does NOT have the soft - floaty - ride
that the older RWD - Rear Wheel Drive - Deville has -

I currently own 3 Deville model DHS - here is a pic of two -
