Was on a roadtrip a few weeks back in my fiance's new Coupe and we started hearing a loud noise coming from underneath the car. It sounded like a baseball card in the spokes of a bike tire... only much louder... and there was also the sound of metal clanking. We pulled into the next big town that had a Cadillac dealership and stayed the night, taking the Coupe to the dealership the next morning. Within a few hours, they found the problem. Apparently, there was a very thick 'assembly label' left on the front of the driveshaft from the factory that had the word "Front" on it. It was a label to tell the idiot assembly workers which way to install the driveshaft... only they were supposed to remove the assembly label during assembly. It was hitting against the bottom of the vehicle everytime that the driveshaft rotated... and the faster it went, the louder it got.

What do you expect from factory employees who make $30 per hour and retirement/health benefits for the rest of their lives!! Next you will want them to read and write.

Glad you guys are PERFECT, and have NEVER, EVER messed up at your job.

But then again, it's hard to mess up:
Two all beef patties / special sauce / lettuce / cheese / pickles / onions / on a sesame seed bun....................

hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

was the tag bright orange? How could it take the dealer a couple of hours to find the tag? It must have been one cagey tag that it could hide so well.

Amazing. How did a paper label result in "metal clanking"? Was there damage?
