so i have what seems to be a coolant leak, now i just had my water pump replaced and the mechanic said he drained my radiator and filled it with new coolant, what are the chances that he didnt put the coolant tablets in the hose would that cause major coolant leakage?

Don't know what the chances are that he did not use the tabs. Lack of using them would not cause a leak, but using them may mask or seal it. I'd find the leak and repair it. There are no sealant tabs in mine.
