A/C Question

Ok so my car is fitted for 134a and I have disconected the battery gave a charge from the 25psi it was at to 45psi, reconected the battery and started the car. The compressor is working and the guage fluxuates between 45 and 0psi every 5 seconds or so. I am about to take the car out on a test run and see if F47 will show again.

I had tried this before only to learn that my recharge hose was junk. I was able to have the compressor on for a few minutes before it tripped F47 with the junk hose.

Anyway whats my next move? I cant really tell how cold it is because its only 65ish right now but the air seems cold.

Well when i went to disconnect the hose the retrofit valve started spraying so I'll have to replace that quick now.

Im out of low side ports. Off to WalMart.
45psi is gonna be about 49-50°F with 134.

And out of low side ports? Do car A/C systems have some funky shit with how you hook up a manifold that I don't know about?

For some strange reason I had extra high side adapters from other retrofit kits but no lows. I have to get a new hose that fits it right anyway. The straight connect goes on but not too well so Im going to hopefully find a hose that has a brass 90 degree disconnect instead of the cheap plastic ones.
Well, I'm accustomed to... stationary A/C units/plants and never did anything with anything automotive. They just don't have high side and low side spots on the compressor to just toss on a manifold?
I assume the pressures you mention are low side? What are the high side pressures? Was the engine running when you charged it? Pressure fluctuation is normal as the compressor cycles on & off, but 0 pressure is not.
I haven't checked the high side. The engine was running when I charged.
