Hello,
Didn't read this forum first and when I removed the radiator from my 2001 Seville STS I fully removed the a/c condenser. Can anyone tell me the steps to evac the system?
Thanks in advance.

-------------------
connect an AC manifold set to the HIGH PRESSURE and LOW PRESSURE ports of the AC system -
connect a vacuum pump to the yellow hose of manifold set -
turn on the vacuum pump -
open BOTH the HIGH and LOW side valves -
and let the vacuum pump run for at least one hour -
the longer - the better - you will get close to 30"/Hg
close BOTH the HIGH and LOW side valves - turn off the vacuum pump -
let the system set for at least 15 minutes -
the system should maintain the vacuum -
if it does - you are ready to recharge it -
if the vacuum bleeds off -
there is a leak that must be found and fixed -
that's how to properly evacuate the system -
with that said - technically - anytime the system is exposed to air -
you should replace the receiver/dryer - the desiccant material quickly absorbs moisture -
