I recently bought a ac bypass pulley and I’m not sure if I should do it but I feel like I should since the pulley was very wobbly

If you love the car, fix it and fix it correctly.

Just my opinion.
Adding a cheap unknown part to bypass a broken part is just asking for trouble.
I know money can be tight sometimes..
Skip a few lunches..
Fix your car correctly and it will reward you.

So did you ever get the other 'belt & pully issue figured out? Don't delete anything. Learn while you're saving and fix it right.

I suppose if you can live without A/C, bypassing it would be a cheaper fix, but to me, it's a no brainer. I'd fix the problem and enjoy the A/C.

Should I rebuild the parts that are broken,Or buy a whole new a/c compressor and pulley. I seen that you have to get temp gauges if you plan on doing a diy

there is a LOT more to it than just slapping in a new compressor - and recharging the system -

IF the old compressor grenaded - and sent shrapnel throughout the system -
you MUST flush out ALL the lines and evaporator core -
REPLACE the receiver/dryer and orifice tube -
and I STRONGLY recommend adding a filter in the low-side line -

if you don't do it the correct way -
the new compressor WILL quickly be destroyed -

It might have sent shrapnel through out Im not sure , I got a code in my cluster that my a/c compressor was off. Quickly after that my belt got shredded.

to flush out my lines would I have to disconnect all hoses ?

Should I spend the extra money and get a new ac ?

And don't forget about the condenser.

I think he's referring to a hi/lo pressure gauge set.

I double agree.
Their are just some jobs that are better left to those with the correct tools and training.

Dude, what you need to do is to get your car to an auto air con shop so they can fix it for you. It's not really a diy kinda job unless you have experience in that kind of work. It may be expensive, but it'll be more expensive if you try to do it yourself.

Is their a way I can fix the compressor without having to replace it for example Could I fix the clutch and pulley without removing the ac ?
