99 Deville ICM - use dielectric grease ?

do you put dialectic grease on underside and topside where metal plate is and top coil pads thanks
by the way this question applies to any car even ford escort with icm in distributor

Silicone dielectric grease is just that - an insulator. Used to keep moisture out of plug and coil rubber boots. Not to possibly insulate contacts. Used judiciously around the ICM perimeter and bolts is one thing ....... smeared over contacts is another.

There IS an electronics heat-conducting grease specifically for circuit board and spot contacts.
