The gas filler tube of this car has been discontinued. Part no 25703200. The new part no is 25644582. The main difference is that the vent tube is larger than the original. Is there any this can be rigged up to work?

I'm sure with a little Yankee ingenuity you can figure something out to transition from one to the other.

Any hints? The replacement has a vent tube that is 5/8 in. and the original has a vent tube that is 1/4. and has some kind of sensor and the end of it. there is no sensor at the end of the replacement.

Can you change the hose at the tank to the bigger size or a newer one that might be more flexible to fit over the new vent line? Don't know about the sensor.

With multiple part numbers they might not have been meant to be interchangable.
