When I got home the other day and shut my car off I noticed a hissing noise. Kinda like a leaking tire but louder. I then got on my knees and started investigating where it was coming from. I ended up finding that it was coming from one of my mufflers. there was a small hole in one of them and it was blowing air out for about a whole minute of more after my car was off. Not just a little air, there was a lot coming out of that hole. I also heard a popping noise coming from the mufflers. A couple of miles before I parked I kicked it down and ran WOT till about 70 mph. I found this odd that my muffler was leaking air for that long after my car was shut off.

is this abnormal? maybe a clogged muffler or something? any ideas?

thanks a lot,

chuck

Certainly is abnormal. Never heard of anything like it before.

Thats what I thought. I'll check into it a little more and see what I can find. Maybe I'll just have to get some new mufflers... :)
