Hi all,

First - thanks in no small part to this great group of people I fixed the heated seat element in my '96 FWB twice (lower and upper broke separately last year).

Thought I'd try to help someone out there who may have had the same issue I just did. The LED indicator on one of my seats burned out (switch is OK, relays and heat work fine, just no orange light). I had 2 junkyard switches on hand and neither of those lamps worked either. eBay had several where people wanted $50-75 for the switch and bezel and no guarantee the LED would be in working order.

I found a near-perfect $3 replacement at Allied Electronics online: https://www.alliedelec.com/product/vcc-visual-communications-company-/5110f3-12v/70130396/

Part number 5110F3-12V (Panel Mount Indicators; LED; 0.15"; 12VDC; Leads; Resistor; Orange; 5110F Series)

1> Remove switch and bezel from seat
2> Disconnect the 4 harnesses (lumbar, recliner, and 2 small ones for the heated seat)
3> Pop the switch out from the bezel by prying the plastic tabs with a flat screwdriver
4> Cut the yellow and red wires that feed the LED and push it out of the switch
5> Slide the replacement LED from Allied into place
6> Solder the 2 connections

Back in business for $3.

Hope this helps someone.

I don't have heated seats in either of my Fleetwoods, but thanks for the nice thorough writeup of the repair. I'm sure it will help some of us.
