My dash lights stays on........even while the car is off......one day they went off & i played with the headlight switch.......then they came back on.......& stays on.........can sombody help me pls...........

probably a bad switch -

couls also be a bad/stuck relay -

Thank you Ranger & Basscat for your quick response........I pulled the headlight switch......but the dash lights still stay on........should i replace the whole switch????????.........& also where would that relay be located???????? Thank you...

If you pulled the switch AND unplugged it, and the lights stayed on, the problem is not in the switch. Relays are with the fuses.

Ok bought a new ign 1 relay that goes under the hood in the fuse box area.......that to was not the problem......so I'm starting to lean towards the ignition switch itself......I did smell a faint burning smell like rubber before this happend......
