I own a 95 Eldo w/Northstar. It has 95k. It's making a serious lifter noise. Actually, I don't think it's sticky, it's probably collapsed. I've never torn into an overhead cam motor before. I'm used to Chevy's, Ford's and Mopar's. I have plenty of tools and 35 years of mechanical background. Looks like I'm going to be replacing lifters. I'm sure I can do it, but can any Caddy techs out there tell me how hard it is? Any pointers? I need a service manual. I've seen a couple on Ebay going for $50-$60. What do they cost new and where could I get one? I tried www.helm.com, but didn't really see anything - odd website. I read somewhere that Northstar's don't have lifters. I guess they would be cam followers. Once again, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
John
