I am the new owner of a 95 Deville Concours. I went to change my oil and drove my car up on ramps. Now the rear end of the car is all the way up on the air and it rides like my previous pickup truck.

Hindsite is 20/20 and I know now that I should have pulled the two fuses to the compressor before driving the car on the ramps. The S038 code is the exhaust valve on the compressor, which makes sense because the air can't be released out of the system to lower to rear end.

I plan on putting a hitch on the car and pulling a trailer so just letting the air out of the system is only a temporary solution. Is there a way that I can add a manual release valve for the air system? A new compressor is $650 and the old one obviously works to raise the car.

I believe the exhaust solenoid and/or valve is serviceable separately and thus much cheaper. Do some research first.
