Nice buddy you have there ;-)

If he only touched the brake pads there are the following possibilites:

- He forgot to reconnect the ABS cable (my guess)
- He damaged the cables or sensor module while working
- bad luck brian strikes and your system got damaged with no correlation to the brake pads

Pull off the rear tires and check the cable. should be easy enough to find...

I'm pretty sure that's one of the year models that when the rear caliper is rotated upwards to remove it, it pushes against the abs connector, unplugging it.
