'94 Eldo Big Rims & Tires

I am in the process of investigating the limitations re: new tires and rims on my '94 ETC. I tentatively want to go with 19" rims & fairly low profile tires, but...does anyone know the max. width & height of tires I can use without having to make alterations to the suspension? I understand that the taller profile rim I use, the lower profile tire I can expect to fit, but with less tire, comes less quality ride. Any input re: this subject would br greatly appreciated.
