HELP!! i have a hesitation before the starter fires, i heard the starter is in the motor and can be very expensive labour and parts.. Could someone shed some light on cost and procedure? and options if any? and what my symptoms should be? thks very much.. jeff

Do a search..... Someone a LONG time ago posted how to get to the starter.... If I recall its not too hard to get to!!

Its a doable DIY job, if you do taht sort of thing.....

Hi the starter motor is not to hard a job.
Disconect the battery.
Remove air intake off the throttle body.
Undo the 4 recessed bolts in the engine top cover.
Pull up the inlet manifold, careful with the fuel lines.
You can just lift it up enough of an angle to see the starter underneath, think it is held in by 2 bolt which look fairly easy to get at.
While your doing this job you may as well look to see how dirty the phelonic chambers are.
